The Story of Droplet

In a hot and humid day
And in the scorching sun’s ray,
I started rising high
From a pond, to the blue sky.

Millions just like me
Were rising in the sky
Till date, I used to float,
But in seconds I learnt to fly.

The whole town looked small
Even our biggest shopping mall.
We slowly formed clouds,
Over the magnificent town hall.

We didn’t had wings
So just floated in the air
Birds flew around us
With their wings which were rare

We all droplets, lived together happily
We formed huge clouds in our gather
Some were white as snow, some were very dark
Sometimes, we made the sun totally go lark.

Merely came the time for rain
We were the hope for the farmer’s grain
All welcomed us in the cities and towns
As if we were new born fauns.

We fell down on the ground
With a typical rainy sound.
We started flowing through drains
To reach some other lanes.

I was a lucky one
As I fell on a broad river
Every second I flowed away
With a lot of force, this made me shiver

There were other droplets too
Who encouraged me to flow
I got carried away with them,
Sometimes too fast and sometimes slow

I crossed a thousand miles
Experienced different places
I saw a lot of cultures,
Life styles, people and dresses.

I wondered if my journey
Shall ever come to rest
Sometimes I enjoyed my life
Sometimes thought it a waste.

My carrier- The great river
Will you ever ever stop?
I’m sick and tired of listening to
Your melancholy popular pop.

“I have an end definitely”
Said the mighty river,
One by one, the life may stop,
But I can’t stop forever.

Heading towards the mightiest ocean
There approaches my end.
Slowly-slowly gently-gently
All the droplets I will send

And then we droplets were welcomed
By the calm deep blue ocean
Waving our final goodbyes to
The river, as we reached our destination.
